The mini butterfly mechanism is more compact beneath the seat, which keeps the chair's profile cleaner from the side. It allows gentle passive tilt but is lighter to engage than full butterfly alternatives — a characteristic that suits chairs used for shorter sitting sessions, such as dining or intermittent task work, rather than extended office use.

The higher maximum height (96 cm total, 57.5 cm seat) compared to the HG-6673 makes this chair better suited to taller users or counter-height tables. The 9.5 cm height range covers both standard dining (74–76 cm table) and lower bar table configurations.

At 12 kg net in an 82 × 45 × 59 cm carton, container loading drops to 260 per 40 GP — lower than the KD-back HG-6673 due to the non-folded backrest increasing carton volume. Buyers should weigh this against the simplified assembly of the non-KD version.
